Meet Ashley
Welcome to Ashley Kasbohm’s (pronounced Ash-Lee Kaz-Bomb) website; a Texas-based lifestyle and learning website. Founded in 2024, this website documents Ashley’s mission to create a truly fulfilling life and shares tips and tricks learned along the journey for you to implement as you see fit to build your version of a fulfilling life. As Ashley has a wide variety of interests, this blog covers a wide variety of topics. You can find posts on personal finance, building a business, organizing, and homemaking. Ashley hopes that this blog helps you create a life you love living.
The Early Years
Ashley was born in Oklahoma City but grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She was homeschooled from kindergarten through high school giving her a wide variety of interests and so many great opportunities. Her parents were entrepreneurs so she had a front-row seat to starting and growing a business. This interest grew deeper when she discovered the world of accounting in high school. She watched her parent’s financial struggles which led to her interest in personal finance. She helped hold the house down while her parents worked long hours so she learned homemaking. She started public speaking at the age of 8 years old, which led to her interest in growing an influence. She always had an interest in beautiful things, which led to her interest in organizing, home decor, fashion, and beauty products. When starting this website, Ashley debated focusing on only one topic area but ultimately decided that she wanted to share as much useful information as possible to help others build an overall fulfilling life. Feel free to just consume the content related to the topics you care about.
Education and Career
Ashley studied undergrad at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. While there she took extra classes in leadership, entrepreneurship, journalism, and marketing, but ultimately got her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2019. While at Baylor, she worked on campus as a residential advisor, office assistant, and in multiple roles in the university’s accounting function. She completed an internship in a sales job connected to Carl Sewell (the writer of the book, Customers For Life). She also completed an audit internship at PwC (one of the Big Four accounting firms) in their San Antonio office. She then went on to graduate school remotely at the University of Oklahoma (OU) and received her master’s degree in accountancy in 2020. While she was finishing her master’s degree she returned to work for PwC full-time in their Las Vegas Office. She worked at PwC for two years in their audit function (Trust Solutions) focusing on technology, media, telecommunications, casinos, utilities, and banking clients. She then moved over to a startup boutique accounting firm to help them build their tax advisory practice. That firm’s advisory practice focuses on advising entrepreneurs, real estate investors, and content creators on how to maximize their tax savings and organize their business finances. She is still working in this role as she embarks on this adventure to produce content for this website.
Personal Life
Ashley met her husband while at Baylor University. They started dating early in the second semester of Ashley’s freshmen year and were married after her junior year. Her husband is a Pilot in the Air Force, making her a military spouse (hence why she moves around a lot). So she stays busy but feels blessed to have a partner who supports her dreams as much as she supports his. While he is a major part of her support system and life, he chooses to stay a private person which she respects. You might see a few mentions of him but I wouldn’t expect any cameos. Ashley is expanding her family (due with her first child in late 2024). She is sure that her adventure into motherhood will greatly influence her content. She is looking forward to sharing as much of that motherhood journey in her content that makes sense to share.
